REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Keyboard skills and previous computer experience, on-the-job or in school. Certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board within 30 days of employment (an extension of time can be granted at the discretion of the Pharmacy Director) OR have completed at least one year at an ACPE-accredited pharmacy school. Must currently be registered with the NC Board of Pharmacy (or register with the NC Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of employment)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

One year or more experience in a hospital or outpatient pharmacy setting Works under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. Assists the pharmacist in the preparation and dispensing of medications and pharmaceutical supplies to the patients and staff of the hospital and/or patients of the outpatient pharmacy locations. Provides a friendly reception to the Pharmacy Department for patients and staff. Prepares and assists with preparation, maintenance, and the location of Pharmacy records. Records patient information by computer terminaland by handwriting. Assumes responsibility for designated duties and work areas within trained capabilities as required.
