Job Title:
Pharmacy Technician Job Description We are seeking experienced pharmacy technicians based in Florida, Alabama, or South Carolina to join our Pharmacy Services department. The primary responsibility will be reviewing Prior Authorizations for determination, either approving or denying them before forwarding to a pharmacist for final review. You will handle all health plans and various types of medications. Responsibilities Process prescription exceptions, including resolving claim rejects and member/physician outreach. Enter member demographics and prescription information into the data processing system. Research and resolve rejected insurance billing issues and/or escalated member issues. Escalate questions regarding prescriptions to a pharmacist for interpretation or direction. Assist with inbound and/or outbound patient or physician calls. Essential Skills High School diploma or GED. Current Pharmacy Registration and Certification as required by state. Strong computer skills. Nationally Certified Technician. Registered pharmacy technician in the state of residence. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with Prior Authorizations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook. Experience in a call center, PBM, hospital, or specialty pharmacy setting. Work Environment This is a professional REMOTE environment. You will work with multiple screens and systems, requiring strong WiFi and a dedicated office space with a closed door. The position requires availability Monday-Friday from 8am-8pm in your time zone, with rotating weekends and some holidays. Training will be from 10am-6:30pm EST, after which you will receive your regular shift. Equipment including a computer, monitor, and headset will be provided.
