Position Overview
The Pharmacy Tech I supports the pharmacist and department personnel by performing routine pharmacy tasks, including medication preparation, inventory management, and customer service functions.
This role ensures safe, accurate, and efficient operations in both inpatient and outpatient settings, contributing to positive patient outcomes and experiences. The Pharmacy Tech I operates within the limits of their certification, following regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
Compensation is commensurate upon education, experience, certification, and internal equity. Hiring compensation range begins at $16.00 per hour.

00 per hour or more. Benefits begin the first of the month following 60 days of employment from the new hire orientation date. This position is a non-exempt position with shift differential.

Key Responsibilities
Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
Manage and stock pharmacy inventory and supplies.
Support medication packaging, labeling, and distribution processes.
Provide courteous and knowledgeable customer service to patients and hospital staff.
Maintain clean and organized work areas and follow infection control protocols.
Operate within the legal scope of practice and under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Position Requirements
Minimum Education
High school diploma required.
Experience
Prior hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
Retail pharmacy experience also considered.
Required Registration/License/Certification
Pharmacy Technician certification preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Competent in preparing, mixing, and distributing medications within legal and policy guidelines.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
Ability to prioritize and perform tasks in a fast-paced environment.
