The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting patient care by assisting pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. This position is vital in delivering high-quality service to our patients, particularly in acute care and critical care settings. Responsibilities Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, including IV infusions. Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries and offering medication information. Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient profiles. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care. Manage inventory levels of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies, ensuring timely replenishment. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations regarding medication handling and storage. Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with patients and healthcare staff. Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance pharmacy skills. Qualifications Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred, particularly in a hospital or acute care setting. Strong understanding of medical terminology related to pharmacy practices. Excellent patient care skills with a focus on improving patient outcomes. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to ensure accuracy in medication administration. Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is highly desirable but not mandatory.
