A reputable healthcare facility in Tompkins County, NY is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Pharmacy Technician for a 13-week contract assignment. The ideal candidate will assist in daily pharmacy operations, medication preparation, and inventory management while working under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and dispense medications under the direct supervision of a pharmacist Accurately input prescription and medication information into the pharmacy system Label, package, and organize medications in compliance with applicable standards Receive shipments, stock supplies, and maintain accurate inventory levels Ensure adherence to safety, regulatory, and institutional guidelines Support daily pharmacy workflows and assist with administrative duties as needed
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent Active Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) preferred or as required by New York State Prior experience in a healthcare or long-term care pharmacy setting preferred Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
