The Infusion Pharmacy Technician is responsiblefor the completion of set processes and protocols. Workscooperatively with all members of the care team to support thevision and mission of the organization, deliver excellent customerservice and adhere to Lean processes. Supports the teams in meetingfinancial, clinical and service goals.

Schedule:

The hours areMonday through Friday a 40-hour work week to be determined by thesupervisor between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

PrimaryResponsibilities:
  • Coordinates with nursing staff to assure themost cost-effective method of delivery is utilized to achieveexpected outcome
  • Information is input into the computerizedsoftware system to ensure accurate and timely dispensing andbilling
  • Coordinates the drug preparation work of pharmacytechnician and checks the accuracy of that work prior to releasingthe medications for distribution. Accurately checks medicationsprepared by pharmacy technicians
  • Be knowledgeable with regards tothe proper use and handling of sterile and hazardous medications
  • Ensures compliance with all FDA, DEA, State Board of Pharmacy, OSHAand other regulatory standards. Follows all department policies andprocedures. Participates in department staff meetings and otherfunctions required in the department, maintains license, continuingeducation and competencies as required by the appropriateregulatory agency and department
  • Complies with all applicableFederal, State pharmacy rules and regulations related todispensing, controlled substances, etc
  • Ensures that allmanufacturer requirements for REMS and/or other requirements aremet when dispensing and/or shipping drugs
  • Provide oversight ofthe safety; appropriateness, and effectiveness of thepharmaceutical care provide to patients (consumers) as it relatesto specialty products dispensed
  • Monitors and orders all specialtypharmacy medications
  • Maintains all inventory and ordering ofmedications for infusion suite

Required Qualifications:
  • High SchoolDiploma/GED (or higher)
  • 1 years of pharmacy technician experience(licensed preferred)
  • 1 years of experience working in medicalfield
  • Intermediate level of computer proficiency (multi-taskthrough multiple applications including Microsoft Outlook, Excel,and Word)
  • Must be able to work Monday through Friday 8:00 am to5:00 pm EST
  • Ability to travel to other offices if needed
  • Accessto reliable transportation & valid US driver’s license
PreferredQualifications:
  • 1 years of experience working in medical frontoffice position performing duties such as scheduling appointments,checking patients in/out, insurance verification, collectingco-pays, and maintaining medical records
  • Experience working withan electronic health record
  • Knowledge of Medical terms
