MAIN FUNCTION

; Assist the pharmacist(s) in accurately preparing and delivering prescription medication.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain professional working relationships at all times, with all medical personnel, including clinicians, nurses, pharmacy and other office staff.
• Understand that the requirements of working in a pharmacy are varied and may change as demands on the department change.
• Be available to the customer/patients at all times.
• Maintain a friendly and helpful attitude at all times when dealing with customers.
• Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Organizes medications for pharmacist to dispense by profiling prescriptions; preparing labels and calculating quantities
• Assists the pharmacist with assessing inventory levels to ensure medication availability.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Deliver medications to Tri-County medical offices or patient homes
• Works with pharmacy team to ensure best practices are being followed with regards to 340B
• Complies with rules, regulations and procedures to help maintain a clean and safe pharmacy, such as by sterilizing equipment and surfaces
• Process prescriptions electronically and ensuring all information is accurate and complete _____________________________________________________________________________________

EDUCATION

• High school degree or equivalent
• Pharmacy Technician Certification (recommended)

EXPERIENCE

• At least 2 years of retail pharmacy technician related experience, preferred
• 340B experience preferred

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Must have valid U.S. driver’s license
• Must have a clean driving record
