Description Schedule:

Monday-Sunday, rotating shifts – days, evenings, weekends, holidays

Pay Range:

$17.61 -$21.00 (based on experience)

MAIN FUNCTION

+ Assists in the nonprofessional aspects of preparing and distributing medications & performs the clerical duties of the dept. + All medication-associated duties are performed under the direct supervision of licensed personnel (Registered Pharmacists).

REQUIRED JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

+ Demonstrates skill in daily communication including effectively gathering and disseminating information. + Demonstrates flexibility in decision making and prioritizing assignments. + Demonstrates skill on proactively resolving problems, recommending, and implementing continuous quality improvements. + Demonstrates knowledge in aseptic techniques for the preparation of IV solutions. + Demonstrates a working knowledge of the Hospital’s Information System (Pharmacy and B/AR), as well as the ability to work in Microsoft’s Word and Excel. + Provides customer service and support in a manner consistent with the health system’s goals and expectations

QUALIFICATIONS

+ High School education with working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. + 2-3 years of relevant experience. + Associate Degree preferred. + Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred.
