Pharmacy Technician Confidential Easton, PA 18042 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will assist pharmacists in providing exceptional patient care by ensuring the safe and effective distribution of medications. You will be responsible for preparing and dispensing medications, managing inventory, and delivering excellent patient service in a hospital or pharmacy setting. Your expertise in medical terminology and aseptic technique will be essential in supporting our commitment to high-quality patient care. Duties Prepare and dispense medications accurately according to prescriptions while adhering to safety protocols. Assist pharmacists with IV infusion preparation, ensuring compliance with aseptic techniques. Provide exceptional patient service by answering inquiries and addressing concerns regarding medications and health products. Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient profiles. Manage inventory levels, including ordering and restocking medications as needed. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and medication management. Educate patients on proper medication usage, potential side effects, and storage requirements. Stay updated on medical terminology, pharmacy practices, and relevant regulations to ensure compliance. Qualifications Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Knowledge of IV infusion techniques and medication administration is highly desirable. Strong understanding of medical terminology related to pharmacy operations. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and service. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification is encouraged. Familiarity with hospital pharmacy operations is advantageous but not essential.
