The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy operations by assisting pharmacists in providing exceptional patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, acute care practices, and medication administration techniques. The Pharmacy Technician will ensure that all tasks are performed efficiently and accurately while maintaining a high standard of patient service. Duties Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, including IV infusions, while adhering to aseptic techniques. Manage inventory levels, ensuring that all pharmaceutical supplies are stocked and organized. Process prescription orders accurately, verifying patient information and medication details. Provide excellent patient service by answering inquiries regarding medications and health-related questions. Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient interactions. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and safety. Educate patients on proper medication usage and potential side effects. Uphold compliance with pharmacy regulations and standards to ensure safe medication practices. Qualifications Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a related healthcare field is preferred. Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, acute care protocols, and medical terminology. Proficiency in medication administration techniques, including IV infusion processes. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and service. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is highly desirable but not mandatory. Must possess the ability to inhale medications safely when applicable.
