Lexington Regional Rehabilitation Hospital is a 36-bed stand-alone inpatient rehabilitation hospital that took their first 2 patients on 8/1! We provide specialized inpatient and outpatient rehabilitative services to our patients who are often recovering from disabilities caused by injuries, illnesses, or chronic medical conditions. We are seeking a full time Pharmacy Technician to join our team of passionate patient caregivers! Qualifications:
Required Skills:
High School Diploma or equivalent unless registered by the State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician Current state certification and registration with the Board of Pharmacy preferred Hospital experience preferred National certification (PTCB) preferred
Additional Qualifications/Skills:
Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.
Demonstrates general computer skills including:
data entry, word processing, email, and record management. Effective organizational and time management skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality. Ability to work closely and professionally with others. Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards. Ability to utilize concepts of age/developmental stages in interactions with patients and families.
Responsibilities:
Retrieves, counts, and measures drugs. Assists Pharmacist in price-checking and restocking of drugs. Accesses, inputs, and retrieves prescription information from computer. Refers physicians’ calls and any medical questions to pharmacist. Integrates the hospital’s mission and “Guiding Principles” into daily practice.
