Pharmacy Technician Nashville, TN Job Summary:
The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for processing and filling prescriptions and other healthcare products for patients and consumers under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This position requires an in-depth understanding of state-specific rules and regulations as well as a commitment to Nautilus Pharmacy’s mission and vision.
Essential Functions:
Other duties may be required and assigned
- Read, interpret, and enter prescriptions into the online pharmacy prescription system.
- Provide quality customer service while answering phones and responding accordingly to patients, nurses, and physicians.
- Create and maintain patient profiles and prescription information to provide accurate and updated care to patients.
- Work interprofessionally with other healthcare professionals to troubleshoot prescription needs.
- Comply with security measures and quality standards.
- Perform additional duties as required or assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Registered with the
TN Board of Pharmacy Desired Skills and Education:
- Current Pharmacy Technician License in good standing with the State Board.
- Ability to maintain professional composure in a fast-paced work environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Prior experience and knowledge in data entry for pharmacy information systems.
- Able to stand/sit for periods of time
- Mathematical skills including ability to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, and volume; apply concepts of algebra to practical situations; interpret prescription quantities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Language skills including ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; write reports business correspondence, and procedure manuals; present information to multiple groups of people

$18.00 – $26.00 per hour
