Job Overview:
The Pharmacy Technician will play a vital role in a high-acuity infusion pharmacy setting, performing sterile IV admixture compounding, managing inventory, and supporting quality assurance initiatives under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform sterile and non-sterile medication compounding Enter prescriptions into CareTend for pharmacist verification Maintain appropriate inventory levels and rotate stock Accept, verify, and document product deliveries Coordinate shipments with internal staff and field teams Monitor deliveries and update patient records Support ongoing pharmacy quality assurance processes Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy work area
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of IV/infusion or hospital pharmacy experience focused on sterile compounding Active Tennessee Pharmacy Technician license PTCB certification strongly preferred Knowledge of sterile compounding best practices and USP standards Experience with CareTend (or CPR+) is a plus
