Role:

The Phlebotomy Technician plays a crucial role in the healthcare system by ensuring the safe and efficient collection of blood samples from patients. Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

Completion of a phlebotomy training program. Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician from a recognized organization Previous experience in a clinical or laboratory setting. Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory procedures. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)

Responsibilities:

Perform venipunctures and capillary draws on patients of all ages, ensuring a high level of comfort and care. Accurately label and process blood samples for laboratory analysis, adhering to strict protocols to maintain specimen integrity. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the proper disposal of biohazard materials and equipment.
