Summary of Job:
• Perform all blood draws and fingers sticks, complete all injections, and process all urine and blood samples
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Perform all patient blood draws and finger sticks. Ensure all blood products are properly processed and labeled. Ensure all send-out labs are picked up and all in-office labs are received for processing. 2. Perform all patient injections and log each injection both in the paper log and in the EHR 3. Track all labs from the time of ordering to completion/provider review. 4. Maintain all QA logs, injection logs, refrigerator logs, and medication logs. 5. Maintain the monitor the lab only appointment schedule. Ensure all lab only/injection only visits are properly documented for billing purposes. 6. Complete lab only and injection only visits and ensure documentation is completed within the EHR. 7. Communicate with billing and clinical staff when labs cannot/ are not drawn and must be cancelled or rescheduled. 8. Perform other tasks as needed or directed by the UAMPA management team or physician partners.
Minimum Job Qualifications:

1. Employee must be able to communicate clearly with patients. 2. Employee must be able to keep an organized workflow and effectively manage multiple tasks at one time. 3. Employee must be able to be active and mobile for an eight hour period. 4. Knowledge of Allscripts is a plus.
