The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing venipunctures and specimen collection, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and laboratory procedures. Duties Perform venipuncture and capillary draws to collect blood specimens from patients. Ensure proper identification of patients and specimens to maintain accuracy. Process specimens according to established laboratory procedures and protocols. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to aseptic techniques. Document all procedures performed, including patient information and specimen details. Assist in the preparation of specimens for laboratory testing, including centrifugation and labeling. Monitor patient vital signs as needed during the collection process. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure efficient workflow in the clinical laboratory setting. Provide excellent patient care by addressing concerns and ensuring comfort during procedures. Qualifications Proven experience in venipuncture and specimen collection processing is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, laboratory procedures, and techniques is essential. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow protocols accurately. Excellent communication skills, with a focus on patient interaction and education. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
