7:30 AM 4:00 PM or8:00 AM 4:30 PM (40 hours/week) Weekend rotation as needed SummaryWe are seeking two skilled Phlebotomists to provide high-qualityonsite services for the Central Alabama VA Health Care System. Theselected individuals will support both inpatient and outpatientspecimen collection processes and are expected to uphold thehighest standards of patient care, identification, and samplehandling. Key Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and specimencollection for inpatients and outpatients. Accession and processall types of incoming laboratory specimens. Adhere to positivepatient identification protocols to eliminate errors. Maintainprofessional relationships with VA staff and patients. Collaboratewith and report to the Supervisor of Phlebotomy. Participate inadditional duties as assigned within the phlebotomy department.
Required Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience as aphlebotomist within the last year. Strong manual dexterity andobservation skills. High attention to detail and commitment topatient safety. Excellent communication skills and professionalism.
