Job Description
In Office Phlebotomist and Drug testing/ Specimen Processor Neuens Diagnostics Inc. 2683 Pelham Parkway, Pelham, AL 35124 You will also be doing
Specimen Processing Responsibilities:
- Receive and process specimens in a timely and accurate manner
- Verify patient information and ensure proper labeling of specimens
- Prepare specimens for testing and analysis
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of specimen information
- Follow established protocols and procedures for specimen handling and processing
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory work area
- Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment
Responsibilities:
- You will also be trained on doing Fingerprinting and in house blood draws on different clients we partner with.
- Sitting in the Front office doing Reception along with doing phlebotomy and drug testing.
- Maintaining Inventory
- Collect urine, hair, and oral fluid specimens from individuals for drug testing purposes
- Follow proper protocols and procedures for specimen collection and handling
- Ensure accurate labeling and documentation of specimens
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to privacy regulations
- Provide excellent patient service and ensure a positive experience for individuals undergoing drug testing
- Perform basic laboratory techniques such as specimen processing and preparation for transport
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the collection area
Requirements:
- Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory techniques
- Proficient in vital signs measurement
- Experience with venipuncture and phlebotomy techniques
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in specimen collection and labeling
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for patient care
- Familiarity with specimen collection processing procedures
