PEDIATRIC

Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. Our main lab is in Birmingham, Alabama. This position is located in a client’s office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing blood draws and other laboratory procedures while ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and laboratory procedures, as well as excellent patient service skills. Duties Perform venipuncture and capillary blood sampling on patients of all ages. Ensure proper identification of patients prior to blood collection. Maintain aseptic technique throughout the blood draw process to prevent contamination. Prepare and label specimens accurately for laboratory analysis. Adhere to all clinical laboratory protocols and hospital policies. Is responsible for laboratory supplies and upkeep. Provide exceptional patient service by addressing concerns and ensuring comfort during procedures. Document all procedures accurately in accordance with regulatory standards. Experience Previous pediatric phlebotomy experience in a clinical laboratory or hospital setting is required. Knowledge of laboratory procedures, medical terminology, and anatomy is essential. Familiarity with phlebotomy techniques and aseptic practices is required. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to safety protocols.
