Job Description:

At NorthBay Health the Certified Phlebotomy Technician I worksunder the supervision of the Laboratory Director, LaboratorySupervisor, CPT Supervisor, the Lead Certified PhlebotomyTechnician and Clinical Laboratory Scientist. In addition tophlebotomy, the Certified Phlebotomist also facilitates the flow ofinformation into and out of the lab by interacting with the public,using computer systems, delivering reports, answering phones ande-mail. Education:

High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

Licensure/Certification:

A Certified Phlebotomy Technician I (CPTI) certificate or higher Phlebotomy (CPA) or Laboratory license(MLT/CLS) issued by the state of California.

Experience:

One-yearacute care hospital experience preferred or externship at aNorthBay Healthcare System facility preferred.

Skills:

Phlebotomy.

Basic medical terminology, typing, math and computer skills. Mustdemonstrate and maintain current knowledge and skill in providingappropriate care for patients in the following age groups:

Geriatric, Adult, Young Adult, Pediatric and Neonatal.

Night Shift Hourly Differential:

Weekend Hourly Differential:
