The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing blood draws and ensuring the highest standards of patient care. This role requires a compassionate individual who can effectively communicate with patients and work efficiently in a clinical laboratory environment. Required Education 1. High school diploma or equivalent. 2.
Medical training:
medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. 3. Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington. Work Experience 1. Five years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections. 2. Minimum 3 years in a PSC/IOP environment preferred. 3. Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred. 4. Keyboard/data entry experience. Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and blood sampling to collect specimens from patients, ensuring comfort and safety. Process and label specimens accurately for laboratory analysis. Maintain patient records and enter data into the system efficiently. Provide exceptional customer service and support to patients, including those in geriatrics. Adhere to hospital protocols and maintain knowledge of medical terminology and physiology. Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure proper handling of specimens.
