The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing venipuncture and blood sampling with precision and care, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and comfort. This role is vital in supporting laboratory operations. Duties Perform venipuncture and blood sampling on patients, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques. Collect, label, and process specimens accurately for laboratory analysis. Maintain patient comfort and provide excellent patient care throughout the blood collection process. Document all procedures and maintain accurate records of specimen collection. Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure timely processing of specimens. Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy and physiology to identify appropriate sites for blood collection. Follow safety protocols to minimize risks associated with specimen collection. Participate in training programs to enhance skills in phlebotomy and specimen processing. Experience Candidates should possess experience or training in the following areas: Aseptic techniques relevant to blood sampling. Familiarity with hospital or laboratory environments. Proficiency in venipuncture techniques. Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology as it relates to phlebotomy. Experience in specimen collection processing is preferred. Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction.
