Pay Rate:

$17.00 to $20.00 an hour

Schedule:

Mondaythrough Friday, 8AM to 5PM 90-day Contract to Hire position We arelooking for a Phlebotomist to draw blood and other tissue or fluidfrom patients for testing, research or donations. The job of aphlebotomist is a rewarding one, since you help people stay healthyand even help save their lives.

Responsibilities:

Arrange dailyactivities based on urgency of requests for fluid samples Identifypatients and their personal information using their ID, documentsor other means Determine the right venipuncture method based onpatient age, health etc. Reassure patients and help them relax Findveins that are suitable for puncture Draw blood using sterilizedneedles, vials and other equipment Ensure optimal quality andquantity of samples Label samples correctly and send or deliverthem for testing Answer patient questions and provide usefulinformation Keep accurate records on fluid specimens and testsAdhere to all relevant health and safety standards while workingHelp with blood transfusions when needed

Requirements:

CurrentPhlebotomy Certification required 1 years of experience as aCertified Phlebotomist Knowledge of legal requirements aboutdrawing blood, handling fluid samples and use of relevant medicalequipment and material Ability to connect with various types ofpatients (such as children, elderly, pregnant women) and make themfeel comfortable Experience with pediatrics is a plus Must be ableto pass background check and drug test
