Job Requirements:
Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures for blood collection. Collect and process specimens accurately while adhering to safety protocols. Monitor and record vital signs as required. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory environment. Assist in the preparation of specimens for laboratory testing. Ensure proper labeling and documentation of all collected samples. Provide excellent patient service by addressing questions and concerns with empathy. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless workflow within the hospital setting. Stay updated on laboratory techniques, medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology knowledge.
Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
REQUIRED
Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
Work Experience:
6 months of phlebotomy experience required. One year of phlebotomy experience preferred. Customer service in a retail or service environment is preferred. Keyboard/data entry experience is a must.
