DIRECT EXPERIENCE

as listed in the resume Responsibilities Perform venipunctures and capillary draws to collect blood samples from patients. Ensure the proper identification of patients and labeling of specimens. Maintain aseptic technique throughout the blood collection process to prevent contamination. Prepare specimens for laboratory analysis and transport them according to established protocols.

Job Requirements:

Perform venipunctures and capillary draws using appropriate gauge needles while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Label, process, and transport blood specimens accurately and efficiently in compliance with CLIA, OSHA, and HIPAA standards. Verify patient identification and maintain accurate documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems. Prepare and maintain phlebotomy equipment and supplies, ensuring proper sanitation and readiness for daily use. Communicate effectively with patients and clinical staff, providing compassionate care and addressing patient concerns during blood collection procedures.

Required Education:

High school diploma or equivalent

REQUIRED

Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. Phlebotomy certification is required

Work Experience:

Minimum of 6 months of experience

REQUIRED.

One(+) year phlebotomy experience preferred. Customer service in a retail or service environment is preferred. Keyboard/data entry experience is a must.
