Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant GP Quest Health Center Miami Springs, FL 33166 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support in a clinical setting. This position requires a compassionate individual who is committed to ensuring patient comfort and safety while assisting healthcare providers with various medical tasks. Duties Perform clinical laboratory procedures, including blood sampling and laboratory techniques. Measure and record vital signs, ensuring accurate documentation in patient records. Assist with patient care by preparing examination rooms, sterilizing instruments, and maintaining aseptic technique. Provide exceptional patient service by greeting patients, answering inquiries, and addressing concerns. Support healthcare providers during examinations and procedures by handing over necessary instruments and supplies. Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with safety protocols during laboratory procedures. Document patient histories and assist in the management of electronic health records (EHR). Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care. Qualifications Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Knowledge of physiology, clinical laboratory practices, and hospital protocols is essential. Proficiency in laboratory techniques and aseptic procedures is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide excellent patient service. Attention to detail with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism. Certification as a Medical Assistant or relevant training is an advantage.
