phlebotomist/medical assitant J Blemill Medical Center Miami, FL 33175 Obtain blood specimens from patients per laboratory orders by performing venipunctures, centrifugation process and document results. Communicate with and assist patients in a professional and courteocus manner. Review the laboratory schedule, verify and complete orders. Identify the patient and confirm the correct patient record. Monitor and resolve orders in the electronic medical record. Complete appropriate laboratory forms documenting tests. Complete lab requisition forms and produce appropriate labels for forms and specimen tubes. Enter patient demographics, tests performed and diagnoses correlating to tests performed. Order and maintain adequate laboratory supplies. Clean and maintain the laboratory including equipment. Greet the patient; introduce yourself, escort patient to assigned exam room Interview patients to record vital signs and information such as test results or past medical history in medical records. Show patients to examination rooms and prepare them for the physician. Assist physicians when performing such task as giving injections and removing sutures. Perform EKGs prepare and administer

IVs Qualifications:

MUST BE BILINGUAL.

Phlebotomy AND medical assistant certificate required. Excellent interpersonal communication skills, verbal and written. Background screening and Fingerprinting required. work permit required. Must be comfortable working in a fast pace environment.
