Phlebotomist Job Description We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist with experience in drawing blood from all types of patients. The ideal candidate must be proficient in using 21 gauge, 22 gauge, 23 gauge, and 25 gauge needles, with 21 gauge being the most critical. A high level of customer service is essential, and candidates must be comfortable working in a very high volume Patient Service Center (PSC). Responsibilities + Perform venipuncture and blood draws using various gauge needles, with a focus on 21 gauge needles. + Provide excellent customer service to patients of all ages. + Process and handle specimens accurately and efficiently. + Work in a high-volume Patient Service Center, ensuring timely and accurate collection of specimens. + Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety and infection control protocols. Essential Skills + 1+ years of phlebotomy experience. + Proven ability to draw blood from patients of all age groups. + Proficiency in using 21 gauge, 22 gauge, 23 gauge, and 25 gauge needles. + Strong customer service skills. + Experience in specimen processing and diagnostic lab procedures. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Medical experience in a lab setting. + Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Work Environment The position is based in a Patient Service Center. The working hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The dress code requires wearing scrubs. The work environment is a high-volume setting requiring excellent time management and customer service skills. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $13.00 – $20.00/hr.
