Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist ARCpoint Labs of Delray Beach Delray Beach, FL 33445 Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled individual with a background as a paramedic, medical assistant, or phlebotomist. This role demands excellence in patient care, including exceptional venipuncture skills. You will be instrumental in delivering a range of services, both in our lab and through mobile and at-home services. Duties
- Conduct specimen collection (blood, urine, nasal swab, etc.), ensuring accurate labeling, processing, and shipping.
- Support in the delivery of drug testing, fingerprinting.
- Support mobile and at-home healthcare services, with ability to work independently and adaptable to various environments.
- Manage appointment scheduling and answer phone calls, providing exceptional patient service.
- Accurately document all data and results in both paper and electronic forms.
- Maintain a clean and orderly lab and office environment.
- Ability to work autonomously and under pressure Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical setting; 3 years preferred.
- Certification as a Phlebotomist, Medical Assistant, or Paramedic, with a strong preference for Paramedics.
- Graduation from an accredited Paramedic or Medical Assistant program (for Paramedics and Medical Assistants).
- Demonstrated excellence in venipuncture and specimen collection techniques.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
- Proficiency in computer use and the ability to quickly learn new software systems.
- Availability to work flexible hours when needed, including being on-call for after-hours and emergency services during the week and weekends for mobile and at-home services.
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to relate well to a diverse range of clients, maintaining courteous and professional interactions.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively without direct supervision.
- Must be able to pass a drug test and background screen.
