PeriOperative Blood Management Technician Suncoast Perfusion Services Jupiter, FL 33469 Our team is looking for a dedicated professional who has a passion for medicine to work as a Perioperative Blood Management Technician part-time Monday-Friday 10-25 hours per week performing procedures and monitoring blood loss in operating rooms throughout Jupiter and West Palm Beach area. Must have previous experience in Healthcare, but paid training for this position will be provided. Phlebotomy skills a plus, should also have knowledge of sterile technique. Some on call time will be required. This is a great opportunity to work hands-on and grow in the medical field. Note, this job is only part-time at the moment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform Autotransfusion in the Operating Room at hospitals and surgical centers throughout the district Record patient and case information and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines Practice aseptic technique at all times in the Operating Room Have availability to be on call at least one weekend a month and available by phone when needed
Requirements:
At least one year of experience in the medical field At least one year of college, preferably majoring in a medical-related field, and/or certifications relating to healthcare (CST, EMT, Phlebotomy, etc.) BLS (American Heart Association, Basic Life Support) certification required Knowledge of HIPAA and sterile technique Must be extremely reliable and responsive by phone Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel as needed Must be able to provide copies of necessary immunization records Must be able to be on-call for scheduled days and times Must be able to pass a background check
