Phlebotomist Primary Health & Wellness Tucker, GA 30084 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing blood draws and specimen collection, ensuring patient comfort, and adhering to safety protocols. This role requires a strong understanding of clinical laboratory procedures, as well as excellent patient care skills. Duties Perform blood sampling and specimen collection from patients in a safe and efficient manner. Process specimens according to laboratory protocols, ensuring accuracy and integrity. Maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures to prevent contamination. Document patient information and maintain accurate records of specimens collected. Monitor and record vital signs as necessary during the collection process. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care. Provide education to patients regarding the phlebotomy process and answer any questions they may have. Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols within the clinical laboratory or hospital environment. Requirements Previous experience in a clinical laboratory or hospital setting is preferred. Knowledge of physiology, medical terminology, and laboratory techniques is essential. Proficiency in specimen collection processing and blood sampling techniques. Strong understanding of patient care principles and ability to communicate effectively with patients. Ability to perform vital signs assessments as part of patient evaluation. Familiarity with aseptic techniques to ensure safety during procedures. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Certification in phlebotomy or related field is a plus.
