Phlebotomist Description:
We’re seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our team in Cumming, GA. This role is vital in ensuring the accurate and professional collection of specimens, supporting high-quality patient care and laboratory efficiency. You will assist with various lab duties, training, troubleshooting, and workflow improvement while delivering outstanding patient service.
Responsibilities:
Perform venipuncture and other specimen collection procedures with professionalism and care Collect, label, and process blood, urine, and other specimens according to established protocols Centrifuge, split, freeze, and package specimens for transport while maintaining sample integrity Accurately match requisition forms to specimen tubes Update patient information and record routine maintenance and decontamination procedures Understand and follow all physician orders Ensure compliance with OSHA and DEP regulations Provide clear and courteous explanations to patients during procedures Demonstrate technique with straight and/or butterfly needles
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience Strong understanding of specimen handling and processing protocols Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
