Phlebotomist Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in blood collection techniques and specimen processing, with a strong commitment to patient care and customer service.
Responsibilities:
Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for patients of all age groups Collect specimens for drug screenings, paternity tests, and alcohol testing Accurately enter patient information into the system in a timely manner Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis Maintain patient and specimen logs Provide superior customer service to all patients Assist with administrative and clerical duties as needed
Skills & Qualifications:
Required:
Phlebotomy experience: At least 3-4 years High school diploma or equivalent Strong communication skills (verbal and written) Ability to work independently and within a team Comfortable working with minimal supervision Flexibility to work overtime as needed
Preferred:
Experience working with hard-to-stick patients Proficiency in urine collection and thyroid testing Leadership qualities and attention to detail Computer skills , including data entry and processing Bilingual in Spanish (preferred but not required)
