Phlebotomist BNZ Express Labs Suwanee, GA 30024 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing blood draws and ensuring the safe and accurate collection of specimens. This role requires a strong focus on patient care, attention to detail, and adherence to laboratory procedures. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a crucial role in the diagnostic process by providing high-quality service to patients while maintaining a sterile environment. Responsibilities Perform venipunctures and capillary draws for blood sampling in accordance with established protocols. Ensure proper aseptic technique is used during specimen collection to prevent contamination. Process specimens accurately and efficiently, following laboratory procedures for handling and storage. Maintain knowledge of anatomy and physiology to effectively locate veins and understand patient needs. Monitor and record vital signs as needed prior to blood collection. Provide excellent patient service by explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and ensuring comfort during the process. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate specimen processing and reporting. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, adhering to safety standards at all times. Qualifications Proven experience in phlebotomy or completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program preferred. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and laboratory procedures related to specimen collection processing. Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control practices in a clinical setting. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations. Ability to perform blood sampling while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Strong attention to detail with the capability to follow protocols accurately. Certification in phlebotomy or related field is a plus but not required.
