Job Description
Phlebotomist:
We are seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist to join our team and assist in performing various clinical tasks, troubleshooting, training, and making workflow recommendations. The ideal candidate will have experience in blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifuging, data recording, decontamination, and updating patient information.
Responsibilities:
+ Collect and store specimens following established procedures. + Properly explain venipuncture, blood draws, and other specimen collection methods (e.g., urine, fecal) in a courteous and clear manner. + Demonstrate proficiency in using straight needles and butterfly needles. + Accurately match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes. + Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens per test requirements. + Verify test requisitions and computer labels against physician scripts for accuracy. + Package specimens for transport while ensuring proper temperature storage and integrity. + Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and safety protocols. + Attend annual department trainings. + Answer phone inquiries and provide laboratory results as needed.

Additional Qualifications:
+ At least six months of clinical experience. + Must be comfortable standing and walking for extended periods—limited opportunity for sitting. + Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 – $18.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
