Phlebotomist/Registrar (FT or PT) Position Available In Berkshire, Massachusetts

Being knowledgeable and proficient for performing venipunctures andrelated procedures. Responsible for accurately identifying patients,test orders, and test requirements. Recognize how the position andduties are related to the overall function of the laboratory and patientsatisfaction. Responsible for coordinating and processing all specimens.

Responsibilities include accurate patient and specimen identity,accurate ordering of tests, accurate labeling of tubes and specimens.

• Experience:

• One year of experience as a phlebotomist.
• One yearof experience in a hospital environment is preferred.

• Education andTraining:

• Phlebotomy trained.
• License, Certification ℜgistration:
• N/A

• Other Requirements:

• Proven typing ability (40wpm) and computer skills.
• Demonstrated strong verbal and writtencommunication skills.
• Ideal candidate will demonstrate and maintain ahigh level of flexibility.
• Proven ability to interact appropriatelywith the community, hospital staff and physicians and maintain highlevel of confidentiality.
• Must possess and demonstrate strongorganizational skills.
• Ability to speak the English language in aclearly understandable manner.
• Collect specimens from patients of allages.
• Ability to troubleshoot/maintain proper operation of businessequipment preferred.
• Teach students phlebotomy skills.
• A valid Massdriver’s license is preferred.

• Schedule:

• Monday
• Friday 6:30AM
• 5:00PM (flexible)
• Variable Days
• Rotating Weekends.
