Phlebotomist Position Available In Middlesex, Massachusetts

Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Phlebotomist for acontract position in Somerville, MA. The ideal candidate will haveexperience drawing blood from patients of all ages and must beflexible with scheduling to support varying shift needs.

KeyResponsibilities:

Pediatric venipuncture or heel stick experience amust.

• Perform venous access procedures on infants, pediatric, andadult patients using standard needle and syringe or multi-tubeneedle holder
• Perform capillary access procedures on all agegroups for direct testing or collection into tubes
• Draw bloodsamples across all age ranges including infants, children, andadults
• Ensure all specimens meet required criteria includingcorrect collection tubes, sufficient volume, and appropriatehandling for each test Heel stick experience needed.
• Understandand apply proper specimen handling techniques
• Accurately verifypatient identification before procedures
• Maintain stock ofphlebotomy supplies and report inventory needs

Mondayto Friday:

4:00 PM

• 8:30 PM
• Flexibility required
• some days maybegin at 12:00 PM
• Every other weekend: 9:00 AM
• 5:30

PM RequiredQualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of recent phlebotomy experience
• Experience with venipuncture and capillary blood collection on allage groups

Certifications:

• Completion of an accredited Phlebotomytraining program
• Phlebotomy Certification (national orstate-level, if required by jurisdiction)
