Medical Laboratory Technician/Phlebotomist Triangle Molecular Toxicology LLC Durham, NC 27713 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting patient care by performing laboratory tests and procedures that assist in diagnosing, treating, and preventing diseases. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, as well as proficiency in laboratory techniques. The candidate will be hired initial as part-time time employee, which will eventually be converted to full time upon mutual satisfaction. Duties Conduct various laboratory tests on blood, urine, and other bodily fluids to assist in diagnosing medical conditions. Perform venipuncture and blood sampling with precision while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure all instruments are calibrated and functioning properly. Adhere to aseptic techniques to prevent contamination during testing procedures. Document test results accurately and communicate findings to healthcare professionals in a timely manner. Collaborate with other medical staff to provide excellent patient service and support. Stay updated on advancements in laboratory technology and best practices in medical testing. Qualifications Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and laboratory procedures. Experience with phlebotomy techniques and blood sampling is highly desirable. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow protocols accurately. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare team members. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment. Previous experience in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting is preferred but not mandatory.
