Minimum Years of Experience:

2 Year overall experience along with blood collections in the ED, critical care units, and newborn nursery.

Venipuncture, finger sticks, heel sticks, Pediatric finger sticks, pediatric finger and heel sticks.

Certs:

BLS Preferred Skills and Experience:

NCPT, CPT, EPIC, Handheld Collection Devices

JOB DETAILS

• 36 hours can be offered.

Unit will accept contracts for 13 weeks.

Shift:

12 Hour NIGHTS, Monday-Wednesday 6pm-6:30a

• RTO:

  7 days MAX

Call Requirement:

Rotating weekend call required, for 12hr shift

Responsible for performing all collection procedures. Verifies patient identity and performs phlebotomy and processing services accurately and efficiently as needed. Verifies that patient and specimen information is complete and correct; accurately and efficiently inputs patient and specimen information into the computer; organizes work.
