A Day in the life:

Greet patients and collect blood samples with care and confidence Label and handle specimens to ensure top-notch accuracy Keep workspaces clean and organized Deliver a positive experience—even when patients are nervous Follow safety and infection control procedures like a pro What we’re looking for: High school diploma or GED Previous phlebotomy experience is a plus (but not required!) Phlebotomy certification (or ability to earn it within 6 months) A calm presence, good communication, and a love for helping people

Qualifications:
Education:

High School Diploma or GED, required.

Experience:

One year of relevant phlebotomy experience, preferred.

Licensure/Certification:

ASCP, ASPT, AMT or NHA (New hire and/or new phlebotomist must obtain certification within 6 months of hire), required.

Additional Skills Required:

Knowledge of current medical terminology to perform full range of laboratory tasks. Knowledge of medical terminology to communicate with medical staff regarding laboratory procedures and results. Skill in anticipating and reacting calmly to emergency situations. Skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, hospital staff and the public. Ability to follow written protocols. Ability to work independently. Ability to communicate clearly.
