Forsyth Medical Center Department:

Lab Phlebotomy Full-Time – Mon-Wed. 6:00pm-6:30am wknd. /rotating call Step Up. Lead the Way. Make Every Draw Count. Are you a skilled phlebotomist with leadership vibes? A Day in the life:

Perform high-quality blood draws with skill and compassion Support, guide, and train fellow phlebotomy team members Ensure quality standards and safety procedures are followed Be a go-to resource for troubleshooting and team support Deliver a positive patient experience with every visit What we’re looking for: High school diploma or GED At least 3 years of phlebotomy experience National phlebotomy certification (ASCP, AMT, ASPT, or NHA) Strong leadership, organization, and people skills Confidence, reliability, and a calm approach in any situation Why Novant Health? Qualifications:
Education :

High School Diploma or GED, required.

Experience :

Three years of relevant phlebotomy experience, required.

Licensure/Certification :

Certification by ASCP, ASPT, AMT or NHA Additional skills required : Knowledge of current medical terminology to perform full range of laboratory tasks. Knowledge of medical terminology to communicate with medical staff regarding laboratory procedures and results. Skill in anticipating and reacting calmly to emergency situations. Skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, hospital staff and the public. Ability to follow written protocols. Ability to work independently. Ability to communicate clearly.
