The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing blood draws and specimen collection, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the process. This role requires a strong understanding of laboratory procedures and aseptic techniques, as well as excellent patient service skills. The Phlebotomist will work in a hospital setting, collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care. Duties Perform venipuncture and capillary blood sampling with precision and care. Collect specimens for laboratory testing while adhering to strict aseptic techniques. Process specimens according to established laboratory procedures, ensuring accuracy and reliability. Monitor and record vital signs of patients prior to and following blood collection. Provide exceptional patient service by explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and ensuring patient comfort. Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols. Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure efficient workflow within the laboratory setting. Document all procedures accurately in patient records. Qualifications Proven experience in phlebotomy or related field preferred. Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and specimen collection processing. Proficient in aseptic technique and infection control practices. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and service. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment. Certification in phlebotomy or relevant medical training is a plus.
