Phlebotomist Job Description Join a dynamic team as a Phlebotomist where you will provide exceptional customer service and perform skilled specimen collections. This role involves working with adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced IOP office environment. The position may start as temporary with the potential to become permanent. Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service and be the face of the company. Perform blood collections using venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and more. Accurately enter patient information into the system in a timely manner. Process billing information and collect payments when necessary. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain logs for patient and specimen information. Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed. Travel to additional sites when required. Essential Skills Proficiency in phlebotomy and blood draw techniques. Strong customer service skills. Ability to perform data entry accurately and efficiently. Experience in specimen collection and processing. Additional Skills & Qualifications Good computer skills. Ability to handle a high volume of patients professionally. Work Environment The work environment is within an IOP account, dealing with 20-25 patients per day. Mornings are particularly busy, while afternoons are less hectic. The role requires working on-site Monday and Tuesday from 8am to 12pm, and Wednesday and Thursday from 8am to 3pm.
