Outpatient Phlebotomist Actalent Portsmouth, NH 03803 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and safety, demonstrating proficiency in blood sampling and specimen collection. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely specimen collection while providing exceptional service to patients in a clinical setting. This is a 8:00AM-5:00PM Monday through Friday position. Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture techniques to obtain blood samples from patients. Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain cleanliness and prevent contamination during blood draws. Provide compassionate patient care, addressing any concerns or questions regarding the procedure. Process specimens for laboratory analysis, ensuring proper labeling and handling according to protocols. Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and specimen collection in compliance with medical terminology standards. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient service and care continuity. Stay informed about anatomy knowledge relevant to phlebotomy practices for effective blood sampling. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Proven experience in phlebotomy or completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program. Minimum 1 year of experience practicing phlebotomy for a hospital or outpatient practice. Excellent patient care skills with a focus on providing high-quality service. Familiarity with specimen collection processing and laboratory protocols. Knowledge of medical terminology related to phlebotomy practices.
