Responsibilities Phlebotomist – Fulltime Weekends Nights 5pm until 7:30am Aiken Regional Medical Centers, located in Aiken, South Carolina, is a 273-bed acute care facility providing top quality and safe healthcare to the residents of Aiken and surrounding communities since 1917. Job Duties:
Assists in maintaining inventory of supplies, including expiration date checks.
Accountable for intra-communication, updates and information from top down
Actively participates in survey readiness.
Communicates with lab leadership on concerns affecting lab operations, quality and errors. Monitors pending workload and communicates effectively as needed
Communicates and handles problems with customers in a timely manner.
Performs phlebotomy on all patient populations following good practices and and standards. Assists with specimen processing.
Attends staff meetings in person or virtually
Orders and/or registers specimens in the LIS
Pull pending ensuring work is completed in a timely manner.
