Responsibilities:

Perform blood draws and collect specimens (blood, urine, fecal) as required. Explain specimen collection process to patients clearly and courteously. Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes for accuracy. Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as needed. Review and confirm physician orders and test requisitions. Ensure 100% accuracy when checking specimen labels and requisitions. Update patient information in the system. Record maintenance and decontamination activities. Store specimens according to required conditions and temperature. Package specimens for transport to the lab. Follow infection control and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

Min 2 years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections. Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred. Keyboard/data entry experience. •Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
