Job Summary and Qualifications
The Laboratory Phlebotomy Supervisor position is responsible for the supervision, technical oversight and daily operations of the Phlebotomy team. Performs scheduling for adequate coverage for all applicable shifts. Serves as a liaison between the hospital and Phlebotomy vendors, supervises day-to-day operations of the phlebotomy team, develops policies and procedures, and provides training and support for all employees as needed. Ensure competency and proficiency of all phlebotomy staff. Works closely with other hospital departments to ensure excellent customer service. Job responsibilities include ensuring compliance with any applicable regulatory guidelines and regulatory agencies as needed.
What qualifications you will need:
High school diploma required.
Associates Degree is preferred.
Candidate with at least 8 years of relevant phlebotomy experience will be considered in lieu of associates degree.
Phlebotomy course certificate, preferred.
At least two years of laboratory or phlebotomy experience required.
