Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture for blood specimen collection in a mobile setting. Process specimens according to established protocols, ensuring accurate labeling and handling. Monitor and record vital signs as necessary during patient interactions. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to aseptic techniques. Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and alleviate concerns. Collaborate with clinical laboratory staff to ensure proper specimen processing and delivery. Stay updated on laboratory techniques, medical terminology, and physiology knowledge relevant to phlebotomy practices. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the well-being of patients and staff. Qualifications Proven experience in phlebotomy with a strong understanding of laboratory procedures and techniques. Proficiency in specimen collection processing, including knowledge of clinical laboratory operations. Familiarity with medical terminology related to phlebotomy and laboratory work. Ability to perform vital signs assessments accurately. Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques to prevent contamination during procedures. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact compassionately with patients of diverse backgrounds.
