Responsibilities:
Physical TherapistSummary:
Providesphysical therapy and related services for patients whilemaintaining positive levels of interaction with facilities andclients in accordance with the principles and practices of physicaltherapy and within Reliant Rehabilitation guidelines. Providesquality patient care including screening and evaluation ofpatients, development of initial and ongoing treatment plans ofcare, discharge plan, supervision of assistants and Rehab Techs,and case management responsibilities. Maintains professionalconduct that represents Reliant Rehabilitations commitment toquality and service in all interactions with clients, includingpositive levels of interaction and rapport with facilities andclients. Adheres to all state and federal regulations regardingphysical therapy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Optimize thefunctionality and skills of patients by providing, directing,and/or overseeing physical therapyProvide consultation and clinicalsupervision to PTAs.
Directly supervise PTA and Rehab Tech inskilled tasks during group and individual treatment in a mannerthat promotes efficient and effective utilization of resources andfacilitates the ongoing development of clinical skills inaccordance with State Practice Acts, Omnibus Reconciliation Act(OBRA), and Reliant Rehabilitation policy.
Build a strong physicaltherapy programEnhance clinical expertise, professional andmanagement skills through interaction with managers, therapists andother professional staff, self-study, and other continuingeducation activities.
Maintain a valid state license. Maintainawareness of issues related to the profession of physical therapyand the health care environment.
Understands various relevantpayment models related to billing and treatment guidelines, as wellas clinically appropriate means/modes of delivery. Provide qualitycare as well as reasonable goals and outcomes within theguidelines.
Be compliant with infection control procedures andenvironmental safety protocol within a facility.

Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
A graduate of an APTAaccredited school of physical therapy
Computer Skills:
Computerliterate and proficient in clinical documentationBasic Internetnavigation skills
