The job of the Physical Therapist, PT is to assist in planning,organizing, developing, and implementing Physical Therapy servicesin accordance with current applicable federal, state, and localstandards, guidelines and regulations, and as may be directed bythe Director of Rehabilitation and/or the Administrator, to assurethat the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintainedat all times Physical Therapist, PT must possess the ability to plan,develop, organize, evaluate, and implement the programs, goals,objectives, policies and procedures, etc., of the physical therapyprogram to help residents obtain/maintain their highest level ofphysical, mental and social well-being. Physical Therapist, PT interpret and/or instruct in physicaltherapy policies and procedure to personnel, residents, familymembers, etc. as necessary. Physical Therapist, PT participates in discharge planning,development and implementation of resident care plans, residentassessments (MDS), etc. as necessary Physical Therapist, PT supervises Physical Therapy Assistantsas outlined by the State Physical Therapy Practice Act. Maintain treatment records, resident files, and progress notesas required and maintain an adequate liaison with families andresidents
Requirements:
Must possess a current license and registration to practice asa Physical Therapist, PT in the State of NY. Must possess current malpractice insurance, license in goodstanding Dedicated to providing extraordinary compassionate care as aPhysical Therapist, PT Energetic, enthusiastic, committed, & passionate about qualitycare Genuinely interested in helping ill, injured, disabled,elderly, emotionally upset, & sometimes challenging residents Patience, a cheerful disposition, & willingness to assist anyresidents & co-workers Excellent communication, customer service, & organizationskills Trusted to work independently & in a team environment Able to work well under pressure, flexible, & will workharmoniously with all staff Covid-19 vaccinations are encouraged but
